Osoyoos is a town in the southern part of the Okanagan Valley near British Columbia's border with Washington state, and neighbouring the Indian Reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. Because of its popularity as a recreational area with residents from elsewhere in British Columbia and especially Alberta, its population of nearly 5,000 people swells in the summer months. There is also a rapidly growing year-round retiree population.

February
The Osoyoos Winter Carnival is an annual event that takes place in Osoyoos, B.C. on the last weekend of February.
The Osoyoos Winter Carnival Society (OWCS),the principle coordinator of all events, is a registered non-profit organization. All of our events are community-based, locally hosted, and family oriented.
The OWCS involves all types of service clubs, businesses, and individuals in Osoyoos. We rely entirely on volunteer involvement, which has become hard to come by, but we manage to continue to pull off our two main events, the Winter Carnival and Oktoberfest.
