Prince George, with a population of 70,981 (census agglomeration of 83,225), is the largest city in northern British Columbia and is known as "BC's Northern Capital". Situated at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers, and the crossroads of Highway 16 and Highway 97, the city plays an important role in the province's economy and culture.

Cowboys and Cowgirls, horses…lots of horses will provide high energy excitement with the sanctioned Team Penning and Draft Horse competitions. A Bull-A-Rama on the Friday and Saturday evenings will astound the crowds at the outdoor Round Up Arena and the axes will ring once again at the PGX with a CANLOG Logger competition! This is all in addition to 4-H competitions and activities, sheep dog trials and top dog agility show, light horse competitions and other activities to showcase Agriculture, including an expanded Agriculture Alley, specifically designed to engage youth in agriculture.
