Powell River Sea Fair, a tradition since 1963, brings together the community for fun in the sun in the last weeks of July. There are contests before and during the big weekend, a variety of entertainment, local vendor displays, and a carnival. There are fireworks on Saturday night and Sunday is family day with activities focused on the little ones.
A heartfelt thanks to all the hardworking volunteers who give their energy and time and the many sponsors who make the Sea Fair possible year after year. However, special thanks should go to Donna and Verna Rekve as well as Carol Hamilton,for their unbounded energy, enthusiasm and ‘heart’ that goes into making the event a success year after year. There are very few people who would give so much time and energy. |
